About Rani Merryman

There isn’t a whole lot to tell.  I am currently a stay at home mom who decided rather than complain about the issues in our government, I should get off my tail and do something to be a part of the solution.

Originally I am from a small town in Pennsylvania.  If I wanted to be honest about it, I would tell you that as a young child I did not appreciate the values that a small town embodies.  Today, I have a whole different outlook.

As far as my history, after graduating high school, I attended The Catholic University of America for 1 year.  I moved to Florida the summer after my Freshman year and worked for Walt Disney World for almost 6 years.  After that, I decided to travel and see the country.  I have held a myriad of jobs ranging from a gas station attendant, insurance sales person and Regional Director for a private aviation catering company, though much of my working career before my beautiful children were born was spent in the food service industry at many different levels. I have lived in 8 different states over the last 22 years.

I met my husband Jimmy here in Maryland as he is originally from the Perry Hall area.  This is where we wanted to settle and raise our children;  AJ is 3 and Max is almost 2.

If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them as honestly as I can.  I believe in public service for all of the right reasons.  People should not be forced to volunteer but rather they should be moved by a want for all Americans to prosper and be given ample opportunity to succeed.

I attend the Community Christian Church in White Marsh and we live in the Seven Courts area.  We love our home here and find our neighbors to be some of the best friends we could ask for.  Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me and I look forward to hearing from you about your concern for the future of Maryland, our families, our children and our community.
